Dastgah Nava
This part is all based on improvisation techniques. This procedure requires great amount of rehearsals and accurate play mode. Musician must know each others personalities as well their musical techniques very well. It is also important for the performers to have great knowledge of Persian repertoire (radif), in order to be able to connect the musical sentences.
In this part old styles and forms of Persian music which are composed by old masters will be introduced. The performers deliver these themes which belong to the radif, based on their contemporary approach structured on their beliefs. Performers need to be aware of each others musical taste and be familiar with their musical character in order to be able to sound as one.
