Simorgh was originally formed by a group of Iranian students living in London. Each member of the group comes from different musical tastes and backgrounds; therefore by nature they are a fusion band. The main body of their work involves composing and performing pieces based on Iranian traditional and regional motifs with production styles and sensibilities of modern rock and urban music.
