Introduction:

When not writing and directing his own films, Abbas Kiarostami has been remarkably generous in helping get other directors' projects off the ground, with his role limited to that of screenwriter, or a 'humble storyteller' as he prefers to call himself. Kiarsotami has written the script for two films directed by Jafar Panahi and one film directed by Alireza Raissian, all of which are being shown in this programme.
